Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: email address and password (handled by our auth provider; we never see your password).
• Profile: display name, date of birth, gender, and an optional bio.
• Photos: the photos you submit, including past (replaced) ones.
• Activity: votes (linked to your account when signed in, anonymous otherwise), reports you file, and submission timestamps used for rate limiting.

How photos are processed

• Uploads are scanned for signs of AI generation, including the file’s embedded metadata (EXIF / provenance data).
• Uploads are sent to Sightengine, a third-party moderation service, to screen for prohibited content.
• A perceptual fingerprint (a short numeric hash, not the image) is computed and kept — even after you delete a photo — to block duplicate re-uploads.
• The stored copy shown to voters is re-encoded with all metadata stripped, so location or device data in your original file is never published.

What's public

• Your display name, current photo, rating, and win/round record.
• Your past photos and rating history, on your profile.
• Your age only if you turn on “show age” — your date of birth itself is never shown. Your email is never public.

Third parties

Data is hosted on Supabase (authentication, database, and image storage). Photos are screened by Sightengine during upload. We don’t run ads, and we don’t sell your data.

Retention and deletion

• Replacing or removing a photo deletes the image file; its vote history and duplicate-blocking fingerprint are retained.
• Vote records are kept to maintain rating integrity.
• You can request account deletion at any time and we’ll remove your account and profile data.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
